Kinshasa Peterson is a marketer and writer who has supported the work of creative professionals operating internationally. A second generation New Yorker and Brooklyn native, she has worked in varied environments in the for profit and nonprofit sector. Kinshasa has taken an interdisciplinary approach to marketing that has involved aspects of writing, graphic design, business development, and media relations.

Beginning her career as an Intern at two New York City museums, Kinshasa went on to work in the field of architecture and engineering where she was involved in business development efforts for projects in the United States and India. She is currently freelancing for nonprofit organizations in the role of Communications Manager.

Kinshasa joined LEIMAY in 2012 to lead the marketing efforts for their world premiere of Becoming-Corpus at the BAM Fisher. While working on that campaign, she was responsible for facilitating promotional partnerships with peer groups and established media positioning with local, regional, and foreign language publications to secure performance previews and reviews. Kinshasa also devised an initiative to garner support from consular representatives, who attended the opening night fete.

Kinshasa holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College with a concentration in Fiction Writing, Anthropology, and French.
