Hi, I am Nicolas Noreña, I am from Colombia, I've been living in New York since 2008 and I currently live in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I graduated from the Experimental Theatre Wing and ever since I've had the pleasure of working with Richard Foreman, Mary Overlie, Jeff Weiss, Katie Brook, The Talking Band, Jess Barbagallo and Target Margin among others. I am the artistic director of THE MILLION UNDERSCORES, through which I have created, directed and performed "TELE-VISION on spiritual displacement" presented at SOAK festival 2016 and at the Exponential Festival 2017, "(8) Memories of this Atlantis or No Place" developed through the Mabou Mines' RAP program 2016, "FOUR FOURS" presented at MoMA, "Morning to be Changed from the Morning to the Morning, or Belly of the Whale" at the 17th International New York City Fringe Festival 2012, "Vanishing Point" at AUNTS 2013, and "Souvenir,or Death of Yeti" at Dixon Place 2015.
Currently I am working on a homoerotic film noir for theater called "The Third Man" and some reimagining of the Arabian Nights called "1001SUR". I've been a LEIMAY fellow since 2015.
