Bunkerweltanschauung (Bunker ideology) is an ongoing installation and event series curated and designed by artist, music producer and DJ Gavin Russom. The event is based on a fantasy scenario in which the world has become inhospitable and a group of radicals have taken refuge inside an abandoned bunker to gestate a new vision of human culture. The Bunker, an architectural space originally created to protect a political elite from a war that they created, becomes womb, grave, temple, labyrinth, cocoon, nightclub; a liminal zone that creates unique conditions for metamorphosis. Featured artists will includeLabanna Babalon, Alberto Cortes, Raul De Nieves, Marie Karlberg, Liz Larsen, Stanley Love, Micki Pellerano, and Viva Ruiz as well as Russom himself. The participants work in a variety of disciplines including nightlife, video technology, dance, film and fashion.
