Tadashi Endo Chinese born, Japanese Butoh dancer, choreographer, director synthesizes the traditions of Noh, Kabuki and Butoh. He studied theatre direction in Vienna before touring Europe and giving solo performances accompanied by leading jazz performers. In 1992 Tadashi  founded the MAMU butoh center focusing on Butoh-Ma. Endo is guest professor at the “Hochschule für Darstellende Kunst,” Frankfurt am Main, “The Academy of Music and Moving Arts,” Jerusalem and Núcleo Interdisciplinar des Pesquisas Teatrais, Unicamp, University Campinas, Brazil. In 2008 he worked with director Doris Dörrie for the film Cherry Blossoms and again for Georg Friedrich Händel’s opera Admeto in 2009.
