- Shaun received her early dance training at the School of the Richmond Ballet, Burklyn Ballet Theatre, The Harid Conservatory, North Carolina School of the Arts, and the BalletMet Dance Academy. In 1997, she joined BalletMet's professional company under the directorship of David Nixon, dancing soloist and principal roles in classical and contemporary productions. After performing with BalletMet for four years, Shaun moved to New York City to attend NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she further explored contemporary technique, improvisation, choreography, music composition, and acting, as well as studying abroad at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria. In 2004, she earned her BFA in Dance with Honors.
Following her graduation from NYU, Shaun danced with Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance, The Dario Vaccaro Dance Project, and has also performed in the Bard Summerscape Festival, David Dorfman's "Underground" at the BAM Nextwave Festival, and with the musical group Fischerspooner. Additionally, she has presented her own choreography at the NY DanceNow Festival, Missouri Contemporary Ballet, and was a recipient of The Field's Artist Residency grant. In 2008, Shaun graduated from the William Esper Studio where she studied in the intensive two-year acting program with legendary Bill Esper.
More recently, Shaun has presented work at the 2009 “Dance Across the Board” Conference in New York, as well as taking part in other artistic projects such as modeling for renowned dance photographer, Joy Goldkind.
Currently Shaun can be found in London, working on her Masters in Choreography at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
