About: Please tell us about your self. Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.: Miyu Leilani is a performer from Tokyo. She began acting in middle school and toured with a children’s theater mime troupe. She is now studying and performing Butoh and puppetry in NY. Butoh studies include workshops at CAVE, NY with Tadashi Endo, Daiji Meguro, Ximena Garnica, Atsushi Takenoushi, Ko Murobushi, Imre Thormann, Yuko Kaseki, Daisuke Yoshimoto, Vangeline, and Mari Osanai. This year, she had performed Odorukotoba, Katarukarada with Mari Osanai in Aomori, Japan. New York credits include Ralph & Isabel at Dixon Place, Do You Copy? at One Arm Red in DUMBO, Dark Space at Chashama, Slutty Puppets at Galapagos Art Space, Momotarou (2009, 2010, &2012) at Japan Society, Governer's Island art fair, and others. She used to be member of Leimay and recently trying to find what to do in her life.
