James Gardella graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Dance in 2012. That fall, he performed in Ximena Garnica’s residency as a part of Movement Research in Residence at the New Museum. James' choreography and visual art have been presented by Dixon Place, CAVE, City Bird Gallery, Con Artist Collective, Gallery Sensei, the CURRENT SESSIONS, and Triskelion Arts in New York City. James also performs as drag persona Violet Elixir at various locations in the city and is a certified Dharma Yoga instructor.
