Electric Party Songs is a dynamic flow of original songs and actions based on the poetry of Allen Ginsberg, drawing inspiration from blues, rock, pop, opera, punk, and traditional sources, and exploring the ways these songs can trigger performative processes and catalyze contacts and interactions. Open Program’s songs and actions are drawn from a deep well of materials created by its members. Each time Electric Party Songs is performed it contains a different selection and succession of artistic materials, creating a unique event of embodied poetry and song.
