The New York Butoh Kan (NYBK) is open to dancers, actors and performers. It provides
rigorous physical training and enriches students with first person contact with international masters. In the workshops, participants will explore the fundamentals of butoh, with each of our resident teachers-Mari Osanai, Yukio Waguri, Imre Thormann, Yukio Suzuki and Ximena Garnica-bringing his/her own experience and multidisciplinary approach to the craft. Join us at CAVE for introductory and/or intensive sessions as well as interviews, lectures and performances from August through November.
