Referencing tales of chivalry, eight performers build, deconstruct, and reconstruct wooden objects and costumes around themselves in a physical manifestation of the emotional and psychological structures we build, tear down, and re-create around ourselves. With an original score by Lynn Wright. Featuring a different cast each night.
Rachel Cohen has performed in NYC since 1997, and created Racoco in 2003. Rachel was Harvard University’s 2006 Clifton Visiting Artist; in 2007 she was a resident at The Sanskriti Foundation in Delhi, India, and Santa Fe Arts Institute with clay artist Patty Rosenblatt. Rachel has also taught workshops and performed at Maryland Institute College of Art and the Boston Museum School. She is a 2012 Field Dance Fund recipient. This is her second year as a CAVE resident.
