Event Description

Yumiko Yoshioka, also known as Mizelle Hanaoka, is a butoh dancer/choreographer who has lived and worked in Germany since 1988. Yoshioka is a former member of Ariadone, the first women’s butoh company founded by Ko Murobushi and Carlotta Ikeda, and founder of TEN PEN Chii art labor, an art group that incorporates dance, space and visual art. Inspired by butoh, Noguchi Gymnastics, yoga and juken (Chinese martial arts), Yoshioka’s Body Resonance workshop guides participants through a series of exercises that aim to release tensions and return our bodies to their core essence.

Max. 20 participants. No dance experience necessary. Observer tickets may be available after participant tickets have sold out.
