Established in 1907, Japan Society is an internationally recognized nonprofit organization that provides access to information on Japan, offers opportunities to experience Japanese culture, and fosters sustained and open dialogue on issues important to the U.S., Japan and East Asia. Since 1953, JS has presented over 600 of the finest contemporary and traditional Japanese dance, theater and music programs to an extensive New York audience and, through tours, to a wider North American audience.
