About: Please tell us about your self. Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.: storm stokes is a transdisciplinary choreographic and performance artist hailing from Detroit, MI and based in NYC. After graduating with honors and distinction from Princeton University (B.A. African American Studies & Dance), she founded a project based arts container STORMWRKS which has been presented by Andy Arts Detroit, Stephen Friedman Gallery, Unbound Dance Collective, CoriTerry/Wellspring Theater, Sidewalk Fest Detroit, Creaturespace NYC, Mason Lee Dance Theater and more. Storm is currently a company member with Davalois Fearon Dance, a BE BOLD Teaching Artist with the Misty Copeland Foundation, an Incubator (AiR) at Leimay/CAVE; and has worked with Shamel Pitts, Jacob Jonas the Company, Rashaun Mitchell & Silas Riener, Kyle Marshall, Turning Tables/Camryn Stafford, Chrysanthi Baedeka, Rebecca Lazier, Movement Research Performance Journal, more.
