Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.: Sonja Heller is a dancer, choreographer, interdisciplinary artist and butohteacher based in Berlin.
She danced for 11 years classical ballet and studied acting at the European Theater Institute in Berlin.
Her artistic history is a patchwork of various influences.
The most important were:
Acting studies after Grotowski of Valeri Biltschenko, Soundings and Ritual Actions of Ryszard Nieoczym, Butoh of Atsushi Takenouchi, Minako Seki et al., expressionist dance and morning exercises of Fe Reichelt, classical ballet of Pamela Ehre, contact improvisation and contemporary dance of Friederike Koch, Noguchi Taiso of Imre Thormann, Music lessons of Robert Mau, Shibari of Dasniya Sommer and
Ashtanga Yoga at various schools.

From 2007 on she focused on Dance Theater and started to realize her own projects. Since then she worked with artists of all kind of diciplines worldwide.
Since 2011 she lives as a modern nomad and teaches and performs in Latin America, North- and South Europe, the Baltic States as well as Iceland and Russia.
