My name is Sara Pizzi, and I am an Italian dancer, choreographer, and dance educator based in New York City. I am a graduate of the Steps on Broadway and Peridance Certificate programs (2020), and currently perform with several renowned companies including The Next Stage Project, Kaleid, Six Degrees, and FLDP. I am also the co-founder of the sarAika Movement Collective, a platform dedicated to creating inclusive, multidisciplinary dance work rooted in values of diversity, equity, and social change.

My artistic practice has been presented at prominent venues such as Lincoln Center, City Center, Mark Morris Dance Center, and NYLA. I was featured on a Times Square billboard and received my first choreographic residency in 2024 following a European-Japan tour in 2023. As an educator, I teach at the Dalton School and for the “Hands are for Holding” program by Gibney.

My work dismantles traditional performance structures to create immersive experiences that center marginalized voices and lived realities. Through our performances and community engagement, we strive to make dance accessible, transformative, and reflective of the communities we serve.
