Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.: Born on 10 of October 1977, Natasja decided in 2010 to devote life to Butoh after years of combining work as a director of a community based children’s art program and dancer in the company of Neel the Jong in the Netherlands. She went into the Himalayas and was accepted as a co-researcher at the Subbody Butoh Institute with Rhizome Lee. She participated in two Himalayan Butoh Festivals as a performer and workshop facilitator. During that year she developed 3 solo pieces and a co-body piece with Gio, which had its premiere at 2 March 2012. Currently she lives in New York where she shares the subbody method on Monday and Thursdays at Grattenstreet 117.
