Contemporary Dancer Natalie Diana Cañizares is originally from Chicago, IL where
she trained with Anna Paskevska at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. She continued
her studies at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and graduated with her
BFA in Contemporary dance. She has performed in works by Larry Keigwin, Helen
Simoneau, and Kelly Maxner, and choreographed original pieces. Natalie has
performed in numerous summer programs, including Dance New York International in
Burgos, Spain and the American Dance Festival. Natalie premiered In Dependence, at
the Clark Studio Theater in New York City after completing the Kenan Fellowship
at the Lincoln Center Institute.Natalie is currently an artist in residence at the Cora Studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
