Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.: Melissa Lohman is a performer/dancer from New York, currently residing in Rome, Italy. BFA in Fine Arts, School of Visual Arts, 2000. Training in Contemporary dance, Afro-Caribbean dance, Ballet, Simonson technique. Since 1995 she has been active as a performer,dancer, musician, actress, performance artist.She took part in the Butoh Kan Training Initiative at Cave as well as other workshops held there. Melissa also collaborated with LEIMAY as a dancer for their work Alive1, 2009.In 2011 she began collaborating with performer/dancer Flavio Arcangeli when he, along with his company Lios, invited her to perform in the international butoh festival, Trasform'azioni in Rome, Italy. In 2013 Melissa and Flavio formed the company Arcalòh and are currently in residence at Rialto Sant'Ambrogio, Rome. She continues her work as a solo performer and holds dance/movement workshops and classes.
