About: Please tell us about your self. Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.: Maxine Steinman (Artistic Director) has been teaching presenting her choreography for the past thirteen years at various venues throughout the tri-state area, and in festivals in the US and abroad. She has been invited to Taiwan, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Japan and Cyprus to teach, choreograph, and perform her work, and commissioned to choreograph for Montclair State University, Hofstra University, Marymount Manhattan College and the Ailey School where she is also teaches. Maxine performed with Eleo Pomare (12 years), in the LINKs project with the José Limón Dance Company, with many NY companies and directs Maxine Steinman & Dancers. She has taken a few workshops with Eiko & Koma and one workshop in Butoh while in Japan in 2004. Maxine holds a BFA from Adelphi University and an MA degree from Teachers College Columbia University.
