Artistic Director Kristin Hatleberg spent the past decade as an active dancer, choreographer, and teacher in the NYC dance world and now splits her time between the city and Beacon, NY. Her interest in thinking through action has often led her to work in cross-genre collaborations. She has created five long and thirteen short stage works, three dance-film collaborations, and one read-aloud dance (in postcard length installments) that have been shown throughout the United States, in Canada, and in the Netherlands. She holds a BFA in dance from Rutgers University and studied dance improvisation under Katie Duck as well as at Toronto Dance Theater. Kristin also holds a Pilates certification from The Kane School of Core Integration and is a member of the International Somatic Movement Education & Therapy Association. Most recently, Kristin has been collaborating with perfumer Kellen Walker on creating location-based perfume for the immersive theater production Western Drive.
