About: Please tell us about your self. Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.
I have been a creative partner in the multimedia performance companies Metafarm, Shua Group, and Stochastic Ensemble. I have collaborated with numerous visual artists and musicians, including composer Phil Winsor and artist/photographer Fred Hatt. I have studied and practiced improvisational dance and Contact Improvisation for over fifteen years with K.J. Holmes, Ray Chang, and Kirsti Simpson, finding excitement in improvisational performance. My works have been performed at Movement Research at Judson Church, the Tank, the Seeds Festival, and the Field. I have used the video medium to capture the focused details of movement and the body and to compose them into new forms. I have composed pieces of music for my performance and video works using MIDI and GarageBand. I produced the evening long multi sensory show “Afterimage” at Salomon Arts Gallery, Tribeca, in May, 2010 incorporating video, live music, contact improvisation, baking, and sound score. As a NYFA Bootcamp Fellow, I presented my new project: ARt Seeds to ARt Spouts on February 18, 2012 at Cumbe (http://seedstosproutsproject.wordpress.com/) and "Black Dress Dance in the Water", my debut as a video artist, from Feb. 2~16, 2012 at the Bootstrap Festival at CSV. I presented a 40 min. long theater piece with two Japanese performing artists at the10th TheaterX International Dance +Theater Festival IDTF 2012 in Tokyo, Japan, in June, 2012. Videographer Fred Hatt and I created our first full dome dance film which was screened at the Shortcuts Experimental Dance Film Festival in 360° Full Dome: International Bühnenwerkstatt & Festival, July 5th to 10th, 2014, in Joanneumsviertel, Graz Austria.

Welcome to LEIMAY’s conectom. We are all excited to have you here and look forward to hear your virtual voice sound throughout our website. We are all caught in an interesting era where dance and performance art are flirting with each other, the museum as an institution is throwing glances (to put it lightly) toward performers, and the advent of the term installation art leaves us all confused. conectom is focused on pursuing this condition and being as dynamic as the new disciplines that are emerging. We need your help to keep this conversation strong with your participation! • Upload a profile picture • Fill out your profile with nice information, show us your virtual self! • Upload images for your searchable portfolio • Check out listings and opportunities on our artist/audience forum • Read our articles! • Join or create a group. • Make new friends by clicking on their names! Virtual is that easy, baby.
