The Coyote Collective

The Coyote Theater Collective is:

1. International and cross cultural, interested in exploring the elements that make up performances of the highest artistic aspirations, including performance techniques, improvisation, movement and voice work, among others.

2. Process focused, where artists can concentrate on exploring, learning from each other, taking risks and creating without rushing into a final product.

3. A home for actors and theater artists to explore their artistry and discover their creative processes, while honoring artistic equality and pursuing their truth within the collective’s work.

4. Integrative of the theater artists, the audience and the community. As such, it is based on the premise that every theatrical experience must aim to communicate an idea, a vision, an experience, and to generate a communion between the artists and the audience and them both with the broader community. That communion involves, at least, a two-way process through which the artists communicate an idea to the audience, and, at the same time, open themselves to the audience’s experience of such idea. This cross-fertilization keeps the theater alive and relevant.
