About: Please tell us about your self. Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.
I have been a dancer for Butoh group Sankaijuku since 2005.Graduated Sophia University, the Faculty of Comparative Culture. Graduated Kuwasawa Design School in Tokyo.
As a solo performer, I consider myself a dancer who seeks for potential relationships between dance and design.
In Feb 2009, I embarked on my first solo project called "NEAR MATTER" through collaboration with the media artist group "[b]".
I have been making my own projects and pieces. I showed my latest piece "surface unseen" in Dec 2010.
I have also attempted to do performance lives with musicians in the places that are usually not intended for performances.
The process of working I focuses on is, not totally relying on concepts, to bring in the method of alienation-effect from the perspective of "representation engineering."
Background:
butoh dancer
