About: Please tell us about your self. Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.
I am nobody. I am everyone. I am the one you ignore and I am the one you adore. You do not see me and I covet your being. Inspiring those who do not dream and dreaming of those who quest not for the righteous or the pious. I am who I am by my actions. Even my words fall silent in song, but be it long in motion, stillness does bode as the heart still beats. Be it on the mall or on the lawn. My park sits restlessly on the Potomac, verging on the Chesapeake. I will not spoon feed you who I am, I will make you think, until you are on the brink. Engage me and I might tell you in broader terms, talk to me and you might learn, A movement afoot does not ponder long but my company does sing song. Through gesture and posture my chorus of one will get things done. But fare not to the wind as the echoes of time will win your ear before we are sewn. Not to worry(about spelin), mines not so good either. Planing for the weddin is going well. I do now better remember you(metaphorical you)(metaphysical you) it seems like a lifetime ago. In many ways it is. I ACTUALLY joined the Navy!(I like to think I am smarter than the Marines(but they are technically Navy as well.)) After the Navy I started college where where I began dancing/performing. I even got a bachelors degree in Modern Dance. Although I am more into post modern which is a generation ahead of "modern" dance but behind in today's aesthetic. It's a whole art history thing I won't bore you with. Hopefully someday I will be able to perform in Lakeland, not likely since touring is a tough gig. Dance is something I do on the side. There is no real money unless you're a politician, especially in DC, or tour. I have friends that are making it work in various ways but I like to be able to eat. To make ends meat I work as a assistant property and events Manager in Glen Echo Park. www.glenechopark.org. I enjoy it there, my job is literally a walk in the park, which makes it sound overly simplified but its true. It has a lot more challenges than one would think. I have seen the house I lived in during high school, my mom still lives just a little ways away from it as does my dad(in a different house). It does look beautiful I imagine not quite as drafty as when I lived there, but it would be fun to hang out on the front porch again and see what it looks like. I remember those times fondly. In High School I used to be amazed at seeing someone I hadn't seen priorly every day of the week between classes and I would travel the same paths day after day and always I would see one new person I had never seen. It fascinated me.
