Some of our programs have benefits for art workers - please tell us if you are an artist and mention the most recent work/venue/space/residency where you have worked/developed your practice.: Alexis Vinzons is a New York City-based freelance dance artist from Mamaroneck, NY.

She is a facilitator of Emergent Improvisation, a practice crafted by Troy Ogilvie and Omar Zubair, held regularly at Gibney Dance Center and Peridance Center. Her improvisation practice takes an anatomical approach and investigates honesty, spontaneity, curiosity, and care as essential lenses for engaging with and reconnecting to dance.

She has recently been exploring creation and choreographer as a container for her research and improvisation practice. She has shown her work at Diffraction Dance Festival at The Tank, TRISK Stage Dive at Triskelion Arts, and The Gibney Theater.

She freelances in contemporary, dance theater, and experimental works, most recently with Yang Sun & Poets, TAQ Dance, and Emergent Improvisation. As a freelance performer, she has participated in festivals/venues around NYC, including WestFest at West Beth, Common Space at Creature Space, Judson Memorial Church, Dixon Place, Wave Hill Gardens, Arts on Site and more.
