Crystal Lemon - 28-35, Caucasian, slender, beauty in the rough, works nights as a prostitute; days enjoys a pleasant cultured life; loves cooking and particularly baking; flowers, music, and poetry. She is fiercely loyal, ethical, and independent. Longs to travel and see the world; essentially a loner with a warm, caring manner but not to be messed with. Has Teo, a 5 year old grey parrot, and no other family. She's beautiful, alone, and proud. Was involved with Michael, an ex-client, in a short, bittersweet tryst one year ago. 

Michael Jay Mann; 32-38, Caucasian, attractive, medium build; smart, well spoken; trades in exotic animals. Travels a lot, and lives 'on the edge'; wild risk taker and hard worker, he has a sincere and appealing manner, very social, unable to tolerate the ups and downs of long term relationships; he's essentially a loner. Moderate drinker, enjoys dancing and the company of women. Comes from a working class family with four other siblings; on his own from an early age, hot tempered but paradoxically patient, tender. Was involved with Crystal, on a biz trip, never looked back, until now. He arrives at CL's doorstep with Ruby, a valuable, black market snake.
