The CURRENT SESSIONS is a NYC-based dance organization and presenting series that represents the works of early and midcareer choreographers and movement-based artists. Our mission is to present high-caliber dance works by groundbreaking choreographers that show original creative flow, take risks and represent a forward- thinking aesthetic and approach to dancemaking. We seek to provide a place for contemporary dance to thrive in New York City, while serving as an incubator for the furtherance of our choreographers’ artistic visions. Volume IV, Issue I. will primarily focus on works with a dance theatre/performance art influence and dance with media/ technology-based collaborations.
