Root of the Rosebush is a theatrical exploration based on a series of interviews in which​ participants disclosed their romantic history from first crush to present day. Segments of the interviews are spun into the context of a late night romantic advice​ talk-​show at a national public radio network hosted by a psychology masters student, and her lovingly antagonistic best friend. It is fused with live painting and live music all whirled into a modern rom-com investigating love and loneliness.
