Adriane Lee's developing work-in-progress, Heiress Presumptive, creates space and time for a viewer’s long look and active observation. Three dancers coolly switch from detached, hyper-detailed choreography to an expanded space of calculated chaos. Using loose improvisation scores and their oscillating sensory awareness of the environment around them, their choices direct the viewer’s gaze from close scrutiny to a panoramic blur.
