BUTOH-OHNO Workshop in Tivoli, NY | OCT 27, 2012

Maura Baiocchi & Wolfgang Pannek, co-directors of Taanteatro Theater/Dance Company celebrate Kazuo Ohno's 105th birthday anniversary with a hands-on workshop at The Barn in Tivoli in the beautiful Hudson Valley, NY.

Experience what a class with Ohno would have been like in this full day workshop.

In 1986, Maura Baiocchi had the pleasure of being invited by Ohno to join his international butoh studio in Yokohama, Japan. She went on to write a seminal book on her experience with Ohno and Butoh, that continues inspiring dance-theater students and enthusiasts internationally.

Taanteatro's, theater of tensions philosophy, stems from her time in Kazuo Ohno's studio.

The day will be divided into 2 modules:

10am-1pm First Part

1-3pm Lunch Break - bring your own or walk to Tivoli restaurants

3-6pm Second Part

The workshop will include physical practice so bring comfortable clothing.

Space limited to 15 participants.
