DESCRIPTION:RESTLESS PRESENCE 2-day workshop with Maximilian Balduzzi*

 ous technical exercises while practicing presence? How to be present d
 uring the breaks and the breaths between those exercises?  RESTLESS PR
 ESENCE is a workshop open to performers, actors, dancers and artists f
 rom other disciplines and whoever is interested in searching for a res
 tless presence inside and outside the studio.  The workshop is made of
  two parts. During the first part we will work with physical and vocal
  exercises/actions developed over 15 years of Maximilian Balduzzi’s 
 practice that focus on impulse and stop, rhythm, opposition. This trai
 ning allows participants to become more deeply connected to their own 
 intuitions and impulses and better able to respond to them truthfully,
  fearlessly, and joyfully. Through this work, we are freed from the co
 nstraints of habit and reconnected with the self, which in turn allows
  us to connect with others in the moment.  With the second part of the
  workshop we will work with a costume (you will be asked to bring some
 thing formal/elegant, as if you are secretly invited to a mysterious p
 arty), adapting the exercises/actions practiced in the first part as a
  way to structure a performance playground. We will play as individual
 s (searching for the voice and movement of a character) and as a group
  (creating a situation where will be possible to test creatively our p
 resence).  RESTLESS PRESENCE is open to a maximum of 10 participants.
