DESCRIPTION:Hi fellow artists and art lovers!!! Come to open performan
 ces (movement research) this Tuesday the 16th. I'd love to hear your c
 omments!\n\nIt's an informal showing with my and two other choreograph
 ers, Rebecca Warzer's and Julie Fotheringham's, works-in-progress. Mod
 erated by Lily Shapiro and Alex Romania.\n\nThis is a new dance-making
  departure for me with it being a highly improvisatory performance ins
 tead of being more set and planned out as I usually do. The past two y
 ears, I've been so grateful and lucky to be inspired by ground-breakin
 g artists such as Esther Neff+Brian McCorkle, Lindsey Drury, Lorene Bo
 uboushian, Kaia Gilje, Paige Fredlund, Anya Liftig, Geraldo Mercado, a
 nd Miriam Parker just to name a few but not nearly all. There are so m
 any.\n\nI'm very excited to be experimenting this way, and the dancer/
 performers: LI CATA, LUCY KERR, AND BUTCH MERIGONI are absolutely bril
 liant! The project deals with issues of Control with movement, sound, 
 text, and props. How are authority, self-control and rebellion against
  control interwoven at a humanistic level?\n\nAfterward join us for an
  informal discussion about all three performances addressing questions
  of the choreographers, performers, and audience as well as larger iss
