SUMMARY:LEIMAY Ludus Lab with performer Elke Luyten
DESCRIPTION:\n\nUsing a set of warm-up exercises we will rediscover th
 e alignment of the body and activate the area around the sacrum. We wi
 ll stimulate an inner flow of energy that enables the execution of all
  subsequent movement. Through choreographed structures we will place a
 n external geometry inside the performer’s body and explore a deep i
 nvestigation in presence and intentionality. Through improvisation we 
 will strip away the need to show, to present and to perform so that th
 e body can exist not only formally but energetically.  Date: June 8th

 n, originally from Hasselt, Belgium, currently lives and works in New 
 York City. Luyten is a performing artist who has worked with Thomas Le
 abhart, Marina Abramović, and Robert Wilson. This past summer she per
 formed at the Manchester International Festival in the acclaimed new w
 ork by Robert Wilson called The Life and Death of Marina Abramović. L
 uyten is the first to receive the position of Artist Advisor at the Wa
