SUMMARY:LEIMAY Fellows and Guest Artists Showcase: Judith Barnes and V
ertical Player Repertory; BK Dance Project; Ainesh Madan; Timothy Scot
t, Sophia Treanor, and Nicolas Noreña; and Taragano Theatre
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nJudith Barnes and Vertical Player Repertory*\nWomen
of Salt and Longing\nIn a staging of songs by Berg, Wolf, Poulenc and
Bernstein, mezzo-soprano Judith Barnes traverses the psyches of women
exiled, lost, or forbidden, through music that powerfully summons the
pull of place. Turning back for one last look, these women inhabit a w
orld of salt and longing.\n\nBK Dance Project\nBig Mouth II\nA solo da
nce inspired by careless language. We act or speak before thinking, qu
ick to judge others. If we knew that others might judge us as we judge
them, that we might be hurt by the words we spit so thoughtlessly, wo
uld we still want to be a Big Mouth?\n\nAinesh Madan\nPhantasies\nA pl
edge of allegiance to the universal dark horse, Phantasies questions t
he role of the underdog in accepting, or refusing, the struggles that
define our existence. Is failure unavoidable in our search for satisfa
ction? Can we imagine a home where clowns may peacefully revel?\n\nTim
othy Scott, Sophia Treanor and Nicolas Noreña*\nPartial View\nPartial
View is an improvisational video-performance piece by Timothy Scott,
Sophia Treanor and Nicolas Noreña in collaboration with cinematograph
er Adam Gundersheimer. Through the use of go-pros, body cams and proje
ctions, this piece offers the audience an insight into the bodies and
experiences of the performers.\n\nTaragano Theatre*\nIn:fantasy\nA new
dance by Mariana Taragano in which she draws upon the movement of inf
ants and children, as well as her own choreographic language, to explo
re the joy, pride, anxiety, exhaustion, and infinite love that wash th
rough the body along the journey of motherhood.\n\n\nTickets $12 / Tic
 kets $8 Friends Club\nFollowed by a post-show conversation.\n\nFor mor
