  demonstrate the current practices and fundamental principles of LEIMA
 Y LUDUS. Through this encounter, LEIMAY reveals the aesthetic investig
 ations and body research behind its pieces.\n\n  \nEncounters with LE
 IMAY is a four-part series of talks, performances, and training that, 
 seen as a whole, offer a resonant environment that mirrors LEIMAY’s 
 artistic practice. Encounters with LEIMAY is conceived by artistic dir
 ectors Ximena Garnica and Shige Moriya as a chance to see the ensemble
  at its home, uncovering the layers of thought, practice, and experime
 ntation that compose LEIMAY’s work. This series includes the LEIMAY 
 LUDUS Summer Intensive, a lecture demonstration on LEIMAY LUDUS, and s
 ymposium and performance studies focused around LEIMAY’s new piece, 
 Frantic Beauty, premiering at BAM in September 2017.\n\n \n\n \n\nWe
