DESCRIPTION:$15\n\nThe choreography of Danza Permanente comes from a
  musical composition created in Vienna two centuries ago by a deaf man
 , Beethoven. In this new work, the score is transposed into movement f
 or four dancers, each taking the part of a single instrument. They emb
 ody the musical structure and dynamics of the string quartet, behaving
  as sound, in silence. The transposition is by choreographer DD Dorvi
 llier and composer Zeena Parkins, with dancers Fabian Barba, Nuno B
 izarro, Walter Dundervill, Naiara Mendioroz, and rehearsal assistant 
 Heather Kravas. The lighting design by Thomas Dunn and the acoustic
  environment by Ms. Parkins follow the score, framing the silence and 
 the visible music. \nIn conjunction with the evening performances ofÂ
  Danza Permanente, human future dance corps hosts What we do, a day of
  lectures, discussion, and practice, covering silence, music, dance, y
 ou, choreography, labor, and the universe. Includes a listening sessio
 n in the dark of Beethoven's Opus 132 in A minor, sharing of strategie
 s and processes used to create a translation of its score with DD Dorv
 illier, lectures by Stefania de Kenessey and Neil Greenberg, and a mi
 ni-concert by Zeena Parkins, plus time for talking about it all. Satur
