DESCRIPTION:CRS invites you to observe the Company SoGoNo Butoh Worksh
 op student showing on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 8 pm. There is a suggest
 ed donation of $5.\nThe showing is the culmination of a 10-week worksh
 op taught by butoh artist Mariko Endo Reynolds. The evening's program 
 will consist of a series of exercises and improvisations demonstrating
  how a body can develop a strong presence and how that can be used in 
 performance. It's a great opportunity to learn what butoh is all about
  and how its principles and training methods can be used to enrich per
 formance work of all kinds.\nMariko Endo Reynolds is a professional J
 apanese Butoh Dancer who trained with Akira Kasai, one of the co-found
 ers of the Butoh movement. She has toured Japan and the United States 
 as a principal dancer in one of Japan’s representative Butoh compani
 es, Dairakudakan. Besides teaching Butoh in Company SoGoNo Butoh Works
 hop, Mariko has been developing a performance project for children wit
 h special needs. She is collaboratoring with legendary sound artist Li
 z Phillips, one of the first artists to make interactive sound sculptu
 res, on a work that will premiere June 2nd and 3rd, 2012 at Roulette B
