DESCRIPTION:Chelsea is about to get noisier. Chelsea’s unruly non-pr
 ofit spaces Printed Matter, Electronic Arts Intermix, Eyebeam, and Fam
 ily Business have joined forces to put together CHELSEA SOUND, an all-
 day art and music festival held on Saturday, October 27th. It sounds l
 ike a supergroup party: EAI will provide the visuals with sound-inspir
 ed video art, Printed Matter’s tiny space will host bands and sound 
 artists, Eyebeam will wrangle together a troupe of digitally-minded pe
 rformers, and Family Business’s closet-sized gallery will host an of
 f-beat performance about “vegetable and human kingdoms.” Should be
  a doozy.\nEach art space will show work separately—it’s like a bl
 ock party between 21st and 22nd streets—and events will run from 2 �
 �� 9 PM. At EAI, we’re looking forward to seeing some Nam June Paik 
 and Charlotte Moorman videos—he constructed a wild TV-lingerie hybri
 d for the cellist—and at Printed Matter, the bizarro, beautiful soun
 dscapes of artist MEGAFORTRESS (FYI not a black metal band) and sound 
 projects by ESP Lab, whose members we interviewed this summer. Actua
 lly, we’re looking forward to seeing and hearing a lot of this stuff
 , but we’re still waiting for the hour-to-hour schedule to be releas
 ed so that we can plan out our Chelsea afternoon.\nThe complete list o
