DESCRIPTION:From bonding with the earth to agitating the mass... from 
 grazing, to engagement, to resolution... let's transition into spring 
 dancing together.  The BROOKLYN UNDERSCORE Spring 2017 is presented by
  Underscore NYC and LEIMAY at CAVE: Tuesday March 21st 7:00- 10:00pm 
  Tuesday April 25th 7:00- 10:00pm Tuesday May 16th 7:00- 10:00pm  $10 
 suggested donation  A Talk-Through will begin at 6:45 to introduce Und
 erscore’s 50+ glyphs and concepts and is highly recommended for firs
 t time participants.  A Harvest will be celebrated from 9:45-10:00, bu
 t snacks will be shared outside the studio this time. All participants
  are strongly encouraged to stay for the entire Underscore.  The Under
 score is a dance improvisation structure developed by Nancy Stark Smit
 h in 1990 and practiced worldwide today. By mapping a spectrum of stat
 es, from quiet, internal activity to high-energy, interactive dancing,
  the score becomes a vehicle for incorporating contact improvisation i
 nto a broader arena of improvisational dance practice; for developing 
 ease dancing in spherical space- alone and with others; and for integr
 ating kinesthetic and compositional concerns while improvising. Each U
 nderscore is unique, comprising an endless landscape of individual and
  collective human experiences. The process continues to evolve through
  a growing community and conversation among practitioners.\n\nFor more
