landscape of flowing and fleeting energy. Mr. Yamazaki creates a conve
rsation with bodies, in which unspoken thoughts take on a language of
their own” - The New York Times “What especially Yamazaki succeede
d in this choreography seems to give a life to ‘something neither bu
toh nor western contemporary dance’ without forcing dancers to perfo
rm in stereotypical butoh style…. it revealed kaleidoscopic images i
n the space which keep transforming by the minute.” - Shimokitazawa
